Adult speech therapy

Gender-affirming voice

Your voice is a deeply personal part of who you are, and it deserves to feel like yours. We offer affirming, confidential voice therapy in a private and respectful space, at whatever pace feels right for you. Our goal is a voice that feels authentic and that you can sustain comfortably over time.

What you might notice

  • Your voice does not feel like it reflects who you are
  • You want to explore pitch, resonance, or how your voice comes across
  • Speaking in the voice you want feels strained or tiring
  • You want to develop your voice in a safe, private setting
  • You are looking for support that is affirming and judgment-free

How we help

We start by listening to your goals and what you want your voice to feel like, then build a plan around pitch, resonance, and communication style that fits you. Our speech-language pathologist assesses your voice, shapes your plan, and leads the sessions where you learn new techniques, and Allee guides your practice sessions under her supervision. We focus on healthy, sustainable technique so your voice feels authentic without strain, and everything stays confidential.

What a session looks like

Sessions are supportive and paced by you, exploring and practicing the voice you want in a private, affirming space. We build skills gradually and safely, and we give you ways to keep practicing so your voice feels natural in everyday life.

This therapy is for any adult who wants their voice to better reflect who they are, at any point in their journey.

Voice training packages

These training packages are private-pay, with no insurance paperwork and no referral needed. Prefer to involve your insurance? Ask about our clinical option — with a referral from your provider, sessions are priced per visit and come with a superbill you can submit to your plan.

Common questions

Is this a private and confidential service?+

Yes. Your privacy matters deeply to us. Sessions are confidential and take place in a respectful, affirming space, in our office or by secure telehealth.

Can I develop my voice without straining it?+

That is exactly our aim. We focus on healthy, sustainable technique so your voice can feel authentic and comfortable, not forced, and can hold up over time.

Do I need to have specific goals before starting?+

Not at all. Many people come in still exploring. We start by listening and help you shape goals along the way, at a pace that feels right for you.

Is gender-affirming voice work covered by insurance?+

The training packages are private-pay and not billed to insurance, and enrolling requires no diagnosis, referral, or insurance paperwork at all. If you would like to seek reimbursement from your plan, ask about our clinical option: with a referral and supporting diagnosis from your medical or mental-health provider, we provide your voice work as clinical voice therapy at our standard per-session rates and give you a superbill you can submit to your insurance. Whether and how much your plan reimburses is between you and your plan.

How is the program structured?+

We offer packages over six or twelve weeks. Your first session is a voice assessment and goal-setting conversation with our speech-language pathologist, and from there you have weekly one-on-one sessions that blend learning new techniques with guided practice. You can see the details in the packages above.
