Online speech therapy across Arkansas
Great speech-language care should not depend on how far you live from our door. Through secure video visits, we bring the same warm, one-on-one therapy to your home, wherever you are in Arkansas.
What online speech therapy is
Online speech therapy, also called telehealth, is a real therapy session that happens over a private video call instead of in our office. You see your therapist, your therapist sees you, and you work together in the moment just as you would in person. The only thing that changes is that you get to stay home.
For many people this turns out to be easier than driving across the county. There is no commute and no waiting room, and children often feel more relaxed practicing in a space they already know.
It works for every age
We see young children, school-age kids, teens, and adults by telehealth. For little ones, a parent stays nearby and we make the session playful and engaging. For older kids and adults, sessions look a lot like a focused visit with a coach who is fully present with you. Whatever your age, you receive focused one-on-one care.
How it works
When it is time for your visit, you click a private link and join a secure video room. All you need is a device with a camera, a reliable internet connection, and a quiet spot where you can focus. A phone, tablet, or computer all work well.
We guide the session live, sharing activities on screen and giving you feedback as you go, then we send home practice ideas you can use during the week. If you ever have trouble connecting, we will help you get set up so the technology stays out of your way.
Visits run on a HIPAA-compliant video platform covered by a signed business associate agreement, on a private link created just for your appointment. What you share in a session is protected exactly the same way it would be in our office.
When telehealth is not the right fit
Online sessions suit most people, but not everyone, and we would rather say so up front. Some children stay engaged much better in the room with us. Some goals are easier to work on face to face. And a shaky internet connection can get in the way of good therapy no matter how well the session is planned.
We will be honest with you about it. Sometimes we suggest starting online and seeing how it goes. Sometimes we suggest in person instead. And if we think someone closer to you would serve you better, we will tell you that too, and help you find them.
What we help with online
Most of what we do in the office translates well to video. Here are some of the areas that fit online sessions especially well.
Speech sounds and articulation
Practicing tricky sounds shows up beautifully on camera, where we can watch mouth placement up close.
Language and vocabulary
Building words, sentences, and understanding works well through shared activities we guide over video.
Fluency and stuttering
Strategies for smoother, more confident speech translate naturally to online sessions.
Accent and communication coaching
Clarity work and coaching fit online sessions well, on your schedule and from wherever you are.
Voice
Gentle voice work and healthy habits are easy to practice together from home.
Adult recovery
Rebuilding communication after a stroke or other change can continue from the comfort of your own space.
Serving families anywhere in Arkansas
Because telehealth reaches the whole state, you can work with us from anywhere in Arkansas. We regularly see people in Siloam Springs, Gentry, Cave Springs, Bentonville, Fayetteville, Rogers, and across Northwest Arkansas. If you live somewhere else in the state, you are just as welcome.
Our clinicians are licensed in Arkansas, so online visits are for people who are in Arkansas at the time of the session. We are close to the state line, so if you are just the other side of it, reach out anyway and we will tell you honestly where things stand.
